The Prestigious Bakers Association (PBA) was established to unite passionate bakers, pastry chefs, and bakery business owners under one professional platform.
The association was formed in response to the growing need for structured training, shared knowledge, and collective representation within the baking industry. Many bakers faced challenges such as limited access to quality training, market opportunities, business support, and industry standards. PBA was created to bridge these gaps.
The association was officially unveiled during the Annual Bakers Mentorship Conference, held on October 19th, 2025, at the Lugogo UMA Grounds in Kampala.
The conference brought together professional and upcoming bakers to share practical skills, business strategies, and industry innovations aimed at improving product quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth within the baking sector.
Since its unveiling, PBA has continued to focus on capacity building through training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to both local and international programs, while promoting professionalism and quality standards across the industry.
